放松 -- to relax or relaxation.

This is quite a controversial word.  Physiologically, there is no total "relaxation" unless one is already "dead".  Professional musicians tend to use "controlled relaxation" or "controlled tension" these days.  How to achieve the balance between tension and relaxation is vital.  As we know, it doesn't work too well when we keep asking our students to "relax", "relax" an "relax".

I'm glad to read about violinjkn's suggestion about 感觉弓的重量.  Then, I'd like to ask -- how to we teach

Such an intriguing and insightful comment!  The only solution is to let the students EXPERIENCE 体会 what they are about to learn!  I believe it applies to all learning.  Thank you!

Very interesting --  I think we need both in teaching.  I used to belong to the second group but I began to strengthen the first part more intensively.

Personally, I can't stand the so-called scholars who claim to know a lot but they don't seem to "understand" what they are talking about...

I agree with you on "不应该是一个老师借以“推脱”责任的由头".  Maybe you misunderstood me.  In fact, I think teachers have to take the responsibility for the most part before blaming on students and even their parents.  (I think part of our job is to educate the parents as well.)

First, I didn't think I have suggested this idea.  Second, depending how you interpret "突然",  I do believe with all the information a student has received, this student might "suddenly click" and be able to coordinate the motion without excess tension .  Third, what do you mean by 掌握一切放松的奥秘?  What are your 一切放松的奥秘s?

My point was -- some teachers like to "talk" too much at times, these comments are almost too much for their students to understand.
